 Kolumna stala tu, w szczerym polu, już na przel. XVIII i XIX w. Prawdopodobnie wiąże się ona z powrotem wojsk Napoleona spod Moskwy i powstaniem styczniowym. Imitacje orla napoleońskiego dostawiono w latach ’60 XX w. W latach ’70 przeprowadzono renowacje, ale na tyle nieudolnie, ze szybko zaczęła się rozsypywać. W 1998 kolumna została zrekonstruowana i postawiona przed budynkiem.

The column was already standing here, in the middle of nowhere, at the turn of the 18th century. It's said to be related with the Napoleon's army returning from Moscow and the January Uprising. The eagle imitation was put on the column in the sixties of the 20th century. In the seventies it was inefficiently renovated causing its fast dispersion. In 1998 the column was reconstructed and put in front of the building.
